Production Manager
- Monitors production orders or schedules to ensure product(s) are manufactured and scheduled delivery dates are met in order to plan department operations.
- Develops and monitors plant's operational budget.
- Prepares operational schedule and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
- Plans production operations, establishes priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Previews production and operating reports and resolves operational manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Develops and works with supervisors in all areas such as employee relations, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling, disciplinary action, terminations, equipment problems, etc.
- Works closely with plant in the areas of safety and quality.
- Ensures programs are maintained, the plant is in compliance with the standards, and the appropriate training is effectively given to all employees.
- Provides assistance to employees and supervisors in solving work-related problems. Evaluates the issue and meets with supervisors and human resources to determine the most effective remediation technique.
- Develops and revises standard operational and working practices and observes employees to ensure compliance.
- Evaluates processes and leads department in implementing improvements in safety, quality, customer satisfaction and cost.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field
- Eight or more years of operations management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience leading Lean/Continuous Improvement events
