Production Manager


  • Monitors production orders or schedules to ensure product(s) are manufactured and scheduled delivery dates are met in order to plan department operations.

  • Develops and monitors plant's operational budget.

  • Prepares operational schedule and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.

  • Plans production operations, establishes priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

  • Previews production and operating reports and resolves operational manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

  • Develops and works with supervisors in all areas such as employee relations, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling, disciplinary action, terminations, equipment problems, etc.

  • Works closely with plant in the areas of safety and quality.

  • Ensures programs are maintained, the plant is in compliance with the standards, and the appropriate training is effectively given to all employees.

  • Provides assistance to employees and supervisors in solving work-related problems.  Evaluates the issue and meets with supervisors and human resources to determine the most effective remediation technique.

  • Develops and revises standard operational and working practices and observes employees to ensure compliance.

  • Evaluates processes and leads department in implementing improvements in safety, quality, customer satisfaction and cost.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field

  • Eight or more years of operations management experience

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree preferred

  • Experience leading Lean/Continuous Improvement events
