We are recruiting for a Plant Manager for a client in Windsor, CO. This is a direct hire opportunity and our client is willing to relocate.
Responsibilities include:
· Coordinate staffing levels and provide personnel to the manufacturing areas.
· Develop training methods and benchmark standards and administer their implementation for all manufacturing personnel.
· Develop, upgrade and implement manufacturing techniques through procedures and training activities to ensure uniform practices are employed in all areas.
· Plan, direct and manage manufacturing activities between production areas to ensure proper coordination.
· Troubleshooting manufacturing and material problems and provide customer support as necessary.
· Provide manufacturing expertise for Process and Facility engineers in the design and implementation of new or improved manufacturing equipment.
· Coordinate with Human Resources the fair and prompt implementation of disciplinary actions.
· Analyze and interpret manufacturing techniques, procedures, and processing condition to ensure safe and effective use in all shifts.
· Develop and implement quality standards and practices to ensure uniform application amongst all manufacturing areas.
· This position will also be required to lead manufacturing improvements teams and coordinate activities among multiple team leaders.
Position requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in technical field, chemical engineering degree preferred.
· Minimum 12 years of overall experience with a minimum 5 to 7 years progressive operations management experience in manufacturing with supervisory experience. Continuous process manufacturing experience highly desired. Chemical industry experience preferred. Other related industry experience such as paper, coatings, adhesives, glass and automotive (production of bumbers) desired.
· Proven ability to understand and develop manufacturing techniques.
· Demonstrated oral and written communication abilities with ability to speak to large groups and to provide effective group and individual training.
· Demonstrated self motivation with excellent interpersonal skills.
· Current computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
· Non union experience required.
· Good knowledge of use of AX operating system preferred.
· Experience with SPC techniques and programs.
