THIS IS AN ONE YEAR CONTRACT POSITION

We are looking for manufacturing/production engineers to lead single equipment start-ups, or package qualifications. Here is the profile:

            Can lead cross functionally  small project team,

            Can communicate down, across and up

            Understanding of manufacturing

            Understanding of machine/ material interface  basic impact of equipment setup and material attributes on quality, performance

            Analytical thinkers, executers  Understand the expected outcome and doing an experiment to confirm

            Problem Solvers  Can get to root cause

            Experience, 5 to 7 years minimum, prefer more.

We will teach our process.   We think more experience will spin up faster, but 5-7 year folks with these traits are doing the job for us now.  Ive attached a job description for a Technical Manager, a person with 8+ years of experience.

Develops and implements production, processing and packaging methods, equipment and controls to meet production and quality standards in the most cost efficient manner.  Leads key segments of large scale projects and initiatives, having a significant impact on the business.  Demonstrates knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Package, and Automation Engineering) and processes. Influences and advises management within the Engineering function. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

            Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 8 or more years Electrical, Mechanical, Package, Automation or Controls Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

OR

12 years Electrical, Mechanical, Package, Automation or Controls Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

            Project Management Experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

            Masters Degree.

            Experience with design of experiments.

            Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt training.

            Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. 

            Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 

            Experience writing speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
