About the Job
Primary Purpose of this position:
Responsible for the department?s manufacturing key performance indicators. Lead, develop, implement, and follow through with continuous improvements initiatives to meet business objectives and goals. Leverage internal and external resources in accomplishing our objectives while engaging key stakeholders in sponsoring and leading major manufacturing improvement efforts.
Essential Functions:
* Deliver established goals as related to safety, quality and cost.
* Manage the department in the design, development, implementation, and sustaining of Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Develop the talents/skill sets of the supervisory and group leader staffs.
* Manage compliance as related to Safety, GMP/Quality, regulatory and human resource policies.
* Work seamlessly across functions, by partnering and maintaining relationships, to get full support and ownership for changes needed to improve Operations and manufacturing outcomes.
* Develop and achieve budgeted targets for operational efficiencies, labor productivity and indirect cost.
Experience/Education Required:
* Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
* 7-10 years as a production supervisor or manager
* 3 -5 years of successful project leadership in manufacturing setting
* 3 -5 years of Lean manufacturing experience
Skills and Abilities Required:
* Proven track record in leading, coaching and developing people in a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
* Computer skills: Word, Excel
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Strong presentation, facilitation, leadership, and project management skills
* QSR/GMP knowledge
