Job Description

DISH's equipment Remanufacturing team ensures the high quality condition of millions of satellite receivers and remote controls. State-of-the art facilities in El Paso, TX, Spartanburg, SC, Denver, CO and Suwanee, GA use environmentally friendly tools and processes to test, refurbish and redistribute hardware to customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of employees in a specific service function to meet performance objectives. Performs reporting, performance appraisals and makes recommendations to superiors regarding hiring, terminations, training and discipline.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Reviews productivity of employees on a daily basis for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and determines workload for team members.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Traces history of unresolved issues to determine reasons for errors or needed corrections and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Advises employees on daily work productivity levels and conducts daily meetings with team members.
  • Performs all special assignments and complex level projects assigned by supervisor.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements:

    A successful Production Supervisor will have the following:
  • Bachelor degree (BA or BS) from four year college or university and a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
