Responsible for all aspects of 2nd shift packaging operations to include productivity, quality and safety. Directly manage up to 50 hourly employees, and up to 10 lines of production.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of progressive managerial experience in a food manufacturing environment with a strong background in packaging, processing, and sanitation.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university preferred.
- Ideal candidate should have experience in high volume, multi-shift, multi-line plants.
- Candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and be a high energy, results oriented individual.
- Second language in Spanish desirable but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
•Responsible for the daily activities of 2nd shift packaging lines in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
•Plan, coordinate, and provide the necessary resources for department employees' daily activities.
•Meet or exceed all key performance objectives, communicate performance with team members, and develop action plans for improvement.
•Follow and enforce all safety, GMP, and sanitation guidelines?
•Inspect and monitor the quality of all finished products on a daily basis.?
•Coach employees to ensure job duties are performed efficiently, effectively, and to company standard.
•Train team members with regard to the business and their responsibilities, and assesses progress periodically.
•Prepare reports summarizing company results on weekly, period, and annual basis.
•Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
•Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
•Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
