Title: Production Team Leader (Central Kitchen)
Location: Middlebury, Indiana
Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain and ensure the safety of all employees in the operation of equipment through proper training, enforcement of safety rules and following proper procedures
-Produce and package a high quality product through the use of proper procedures and adherence to all food safety, SQF, GMP, HACCP and government standards in cooperation with the Quality Control Department
-Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with all company policies as well as regulatory agencies
-Understand and enforce all company policies and procedures
-Improve departmental efficiencies so that downtime is minimized through the use of teamwork and continuous improvement principles
-Monitor shrink levels and usage in order to keep shrink levels at a minimum
-Monitor and control inventory levels and yields through the proper usage and reporting of raw materials
-Control labor costs in regards to staffing and overtime
-Ensure constant communication with all levels of management in the areas of safety, processing, production, maintenance and sanitation
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma/GED required
-BS/BA Degree preferred
-5+ years experience in a food manufacturing environment
-Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in a supervisory leadership role
-Effective oral, written, and computer skills required
-Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills required
-Demonstrated problem solving, decision making and analytical skills required
-Mechanical aptitude preferred
-Must be able to work any shift
