Professional Services Engineer

We are seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Service Engineer.  The position will be based in Boston, however for the right candidate, we can accept a telecommuter from the East Coast (NYC, DC, Boston, etc).  Relocation is available.
 
You should have the following attributes:
Programming background with sophisticated windows and desktop experience including systems and software.  You will be a mercenary in your style with little or no supervision.  Self-starters with a true passion for software solutions are our target.  We will teach you to be an expert in our software and solutions, and then you will be expected to become an expert in large scale delivery, learning the skills that are required to help us to bring our product and service to the Federal Sector.  Although not required, those with a full scope poly/TS/SCI are preferred.
 
The role will be focused on security consultation for exciting and challenging projects to be implemented with the US Federal Government.  An ideal candidate will have at least two years of Federal Government experience with at least 5 years of experience in Microsoft Windows server technology (2000/2003) including SQL Server, SMS, MOM, IIS, etc, with specific emphasis on security.  A Bachelors or equivalent in business or computer science is to be expected.  Your salary will be based upon your experience, and the benefits are great!
 
Favorable skills:
  • Deep knowledge of Windows OS (XP/2000/2003/Vista)
  • Active Directory expertise in a large enterprise environment
  • Advanced knowledge of network design and IP management techniques
  • Understanding of encryption techniques and key management
  • Knowledge of various security standards and methodologies such as ISO27001, FIPS200, COBIT, ITIL
  • Knowledge of storage devices and technologies including RAID, SAN, and archive and restore
  • Knowledge of configuration management using images, Symantic Ghost, VM Ware and software deployment tools like SMS, Alteris, LANDesk
  • Experience with common scripting languages, SQL, and network protocols
  • Knowledge of relational database such as SQL Server (preferred) or Oracle with basic DBA skills
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix is a significant advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • US Citizen
  • Certifications compatible with DoD 8570 such as CISSP, CISM, GSLC, GISF, Security+, etc
