Program Coordinator / Travel Concierge

About the Job

The responsibility of this position will be to make customized business travel arrangements (domestic), plan small meetings and other functions as needed.  Those applying should demonstrate the following:


 



  • Extremely high level of customer service

  • Have an ‘anything is possible’ attitude

  • Must enjoy very detailed work, multi-tasking, and independent problem-solving

  • The ability to create travel itineraries that meet the individual traveler’s needs

  • Excellent understanding of airline hub cities and non-stop flight markets

  • Excellent understanding of hub city airports

  • Excellent understanding of upscale full-service hotel brands and amenities offered

  • Excellent understanding of US geography and the ability to apply that knowledge in a creative way when planning travel

  • Excellent understanding of ground transportation services around the US

  • Good understanding of available train services in the Northeast

  • Excellent understanding of various travel web sites and the ability to navigate through each of them

  • Extensive personal travel experience is a plus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

The Patient Mentor Foundation is a non-profit organization established to provide patient-to-patient education on successful self-management of their chronic disease.  After completion of extensive training, patients share first-hand stories of their successful self-management and lifestyle strategies with fellow patients.  Our purpose is to help improve the quality of life for people with chronic disease.  The organization is headquartered in Independence, Missouri with offices in Maryland Heights, Missouri and Langhorne, Pennsylvania. 


 


The available position will be based in Maryland Heights and report to a Program Manager.
