Program Director-Dental Hygiene

 


The Medix School South in Landover, MD has an immediate opening for a program Director for the Dental Hygiene Program.


 


Do you:


Hold current license as a Dental Hygienist?


Have a Master degree in a related field or one in progress?


Have A minimum of five (5) years experience in clinical practice and two (2) years experience as an instructor in a CODA-accredited program?


Have proficiency in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction and counseling?


Knowledge of current accreditation procedures?


Have the ability to develop, implement, integrate, and evaluate the curriculum of the Dental Hygiene program in accordance with the school’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values and in compliance with CODA accreditation standards?

Major Duties and Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:



  • Develop, evaluate and revise curriculum

  • Recruit, assign, supervise and evaluate Faculty

  • Initiate the program

 



  • Develop department-in-service and faculty development

 



  • Assess, plan and operate  program facilities

 



  • Prepare and administer the budget

 



  • Coordinate, evaluate and participate in determining admissions criteria and procedures, as well as student promotion and retention criteria
