Program Manager (1706)
Description

Performs and provides Program Management assignments of a wide complexity with little or no supervision. Responsible for managing project from conception through production.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ OBJECTIVES: Responsible for the Program Management function for the development of products including the following:

• Deploy, prioritize and manage resources and technology towards Advanced Input's objectives of Productivity, Quality and Growth.

• Responsible for overall management of products from conception through production.

• Executes projects in alignment with Advanced Input's Product Development Policy.

• Works with customers and Sales staff to determine scope of project and develop internal costs.

• Manages all aspects of new product development and leads core teams.

• Responsible for top-down scheduling and maintenance for total cross-functional project development.

• Acts as the primary technical and business contact for the customer's development team.

• Coordinates electronic and packaging design development with respective Electrical, Mechanical and Test Engineering functions.

• Reviews design with Manufacturing to ensure product is manufacturable.

• Responsible for tracking development schedule and budget.

• Responsible for coordinating changes with Advanced Input System's Sales and customers.

• Responsible for all facets of the project through production.

• Responsible for leading the development which would produce total satisfaction of cost, schedule and performance.

• Responsible for creation of Bills of Material.

• Responsible for tracking engineering changes via a PCO or EO process.

• Responsible to audit prototypes to verify compliance to customer specifications.

• Responsible to coordinate product compliance and reliability testing activities.



Required Skills

• Ability to write proposals, requirements or specifications.

• Ability to delegate program deliverables to cross-functional team members and NPI support staff.

• Ability to establish total cost models for product developments.

• Ability to proactively manage customer's expectations.

• Experienced with Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling tool.

• Meticulous documentation skills of project history in a fast track environment. • Designing for Manufacturability and Designing for Speed.

• Experience with industry standard PC interfaces.

• Rapid Prototyping experience.

• Electronic Packaging experience.

• Ability to establish sourcing and tooling strategies, and execute to that strategy.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with customers, vendors, and factory personnel.

• Experience with managing and leading internal resources as well as external contracting design resources.

• Experience in direct customer technical leadership and guidance.

• Experience with all aspects of end product packaging trade-offs.

• Ability to manage design projects from conception through production.

• Ability to manage multiple projects.

• Willingness, ability and desire to travel.



Required Experience

Minimum BS in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with 5-10 years of relevant program management experience. Must have previous product experience.
