Summary

The Program Manager works with all employees throughout the franchise to deliver programming that is effectively managed and responsive to the needs of the business. The Program Manager is an integral professional within the Enterprise Operations group and oversees several complex programs including training, development and recognition programs as well as corporate giving and community service programming.  The Program Manager also supports employee events, executive reports, and content creation for marketing materials. 

 

It is vital that the Program Manager be self-motivated, people-oriented and have a high energy level. The Program Manager is expected to be active participant in company programs and a steward for the company’s strong culture. Ideal candidates will experience supporting financial or professional service organizations and must be detail-oriented with strong presentation and analytical skills. 

 

Description of Responsibilities

  • Manage creation of employee training programs that focus on cross-training among divisions; delivering cost effective skill development while coordinating with legal department to ensure compliance with all legal requirements
  • Manage annual employee performance review process and communications in addition to  annual top performer program
  • Coordinate corporate giving programs including employee matching gifts, client requests and other charitable giving projects including community service events
  • Support development and extensive reviews of a wide range of corporate marketing materials including but not limited to the FBR Capital Markets website, our company intranet, corporate presentations, and employee handbook
  • Deliver superior employee programs to organization
  • Work with and gain support of other organizations across company to implement programs.
  • Continually evaluate industry trends and strive to improve policies and processes to ensure needs of organization are being met and anticipated
  • Create written and financial reports and presentations on various programs and corporate initiatives

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree or higher required
  • 3-5 years experience as a manager of programs, preferably in financial or professional services industries and ideally having had roles in marketing and/or human resources
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills a must
  • Analytical abilities including budget management and experience creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
  • Must be self directed, flexible, motivated and work well independently as well as with a team
  • Must have hand-on approach; ability to multitask and prioritize evolving priorities within fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, and particular diligence in documentation and record keeping
