  • Minimum of 7 years experience in Program Management with-in U.S. Federal Agencies and the genesis of your career evolving from IT technology.


  • A minimum of ten years of management experience in increasing complex assignments. 


  • Must have demonstrated experience supporting large scale systems and working with diverse development organizations. 


  • Experience working in a CMM/CMMI environments. 


  • PMP certification.  


  • Authorization to work in the US without any restrictions.

JOB SUMMARY


 


Primary responsibility includes planning, directing, organizing and managing the Information Technology and PMO activities for the Delta Corporate Services (DCS) Public Buildings Services (PBS) support staff in the Arlington, VA office.  Additional responsibility includes:




  • Assuring adherence to contract compliance across all functional areas of the DCS/PBS Support contract with emphasis on meeting and maintaining customer satisfaction.  


  • Implementing and maintaining effective controls for daily operations and include tasks such as compiling, analyzing, and reporting data as required by the GSG Group Director. 


  • Providing ongoing support to the GSG Security, Development and QA Groups as it relates to the DCS/PBS Support contract


 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



 


Manage the operations of the Delta*s Government Solutions Group (GSG)/PMO within the limits of established policies, departmental procedures and governing government regulations.  Responsible for monitoring the progress and reporting the status of PMO personnel, product deliverables, service offerings, compliance issues, ongoing quality improvement initiatives across all functional areas, and assuring overall client satisfaction.  It is the responsibility of the Program Manager to report directly to the GSG Group Director on any client issues, concerns, or problems that may occur during the term of the DCS/PBS Contract.   Required tasks are further described as follows:


 




  • Ensure high quality service by implementing DCS company policies, adhering to GSG departmental procedures and standards as well as participating and delivering value added business solutions.


  • Act as the primary point of contact with the government Program Manager and ensure the highest level possible of customer satisfaction is attained.


  • As client point of contact, work closely with GSG management team to improve service by sharing technical and business knowledge for the development of  business solutions across all functional areas.   Implement action plans as required.


  • Delegates, coordinate, and review all work products to ensure quality and efficient operations within the PMO.  Consult with GSG Group Director on direction for support from GSG Management Team and/or Staff members.


  • Assist, develop and maintain required government standards and procedures as tasked.


  • Participates and manages compliance group to ensure adherence to government policies and procedures in all functional areas as required by PBS/DCS contract.


  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining GSG security procedures as defined and enforced by the CTSO.


  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining Process Improvement in accordance with CMM/CMMI level 3 guidelines 


  • Responsible for assisting and/or developing processes to assure efficient work flow within the PMO.


  • Identify and report government trends or requirements that impact the GSG project team efforts or deliverables to the GSG Group Director for resolution.


  • Participate in the development and implementation of training programs within GSG regarding government information systems, products, methodologies, policies and procedures, etc. as required.


  • Assign and manage duties to PMO personnel, provide individual or team counseling, motivational support, identify or provide training as required, provide performance evaluations when necessary or required, create and maintain a positive work environment in the Arlington, VA Office.


  • Participates in weekly GSG status meetings to disseminate and discuss status to GSG Management Team


  • Perform other related duties as required by GSG Group Director or otherwise requested by the government client.  Inform Group Director when client Program Manager tasks team or team member with new work to determine resource allocation. 


  •  Identify new business opportunities on existing account and when possible network into other areas for overall account growth.

 


QUALIFICATIONS


 




  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of effective supervisory/management practices and techniques, written and verbal communication skills


  • Previous Program Management experience in U.S. Federal Agencies is mandatory. 


  • To learn quickly and apply knowledge in a timely manner and for the appropriate task.  Communicate appropriately to a variety of people, adapt quickly to a changing environment and work well with others.


  • Must have proven ability to work successfully in a high volume, technically demanding job with leadership and customer service skills utilizing excellent judgment.  Must be flexible and willing to travel to other locations.


  • Personnel management and supervision experience of cross-functional teams is essential.

 


EDUCATION


*              A Bachelor*s Degree from an accredited university is required. 


*              PMP certification is required.
