Program Manager

Overview:

The Business
Operations Program Manager is responsible for planning, directing and
coordinating activities for various ongoing inter-dependent initiatives or
systems. This requires the management of multiple projects, while in various
stages of their life-cycle. The Program Manager coordinates and prioritizes
resources across projects, departments, and external partners to ensure that
cross-functional resource contention is managed while achieving project or
system objectives.

Responsibilities:

·    Involved in projects
initiation and strategic project alignment to business objectives, including
analysis and negotiation with executives for cross-project integration.

·    Assist with
prioritization and assignment of shared resources.

·    Monitors project
relationships and dependencies, as well as overall integration and issue
resolution.

·    Creates and executes
project plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and
requirements.

·    Takes corrective
actions as required to deliver complete scope, at desired quality, in time for
own project, or suggests these actions to the guided/mentored project managers.

·    Track each project's
lifecycle activities, artifacts, features, defects.

·    Ensures adherence of
project management methodology to all assigned projects.

·    Escalate risks and
issues with potential significant impact to executive leadership.

·    Coordinate tasks and
issues between functional and technical teams. Ensure that tasks and activities
are appropriately assigned and delivered on time.

·    Develop project status
reports using MS Project and/or other tools.

·    Propose changes to the
methodology, framework or best practices applied by the organization in project
management area.

Requirements:

·   
Minimum
of 5-6 years of project management experience.

·    3-4 years experience
using MS Project and MS Office products.

·    Bachelor’s Degree in
Business, Finance, Computer Science or related field. 

·    Strong understanding
of Project Management principles and methodology.

·   
Ability
to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·   
Strong
tactical planning and leadership skills.

·   
Passionate
leader who values and fosters collaborative, cohesive teams.

·   
Strong
communication, negotiation, conflict resolution capabilities.

·   
Ability
to recognize audience and tailor deliverables appropriate to them.

·   
Ability
to come up to speed quickly regarding project business objectives and/or technology.

·    Strong organizational
and detail oriented skills.

·    IT related experience is
preferred.

·    Demonstrated
experience managing projects using the Scrum or other Agile methodology.

·    Financial services
industry knowledge a plus.

·    Familiarity desired
with Business Process Management, Business Intelligence, Windows Platforms,
Hardware Deployment, Network Architecture, Storage Solutions, Software
Development and/or Middleware platforms.

·    Certified Scrum Master
(CSM) is desired.
