We are looking for an energetic, career oriented professional to fill an exciting opportunity as a Program Manager for our United Foam division located in Grand Rapids, MI.


 


 


GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: 


 


On assigned new products and engineering changes, develops an APQP plan then manages in accordance with the plan and applicable procedures to assure the product is launched on time, within budget, at or better than estimated cost, with zero defects to the customer and to the satisfaction of the customer and our manufacturing plant. 


 


 


DUTIES & ELEMENTS OF POSITION:


 


·         Manages assigned new products & engineering changes from order inception to successful launch.


·         Engineers assigned new products and changes to assure they are optimally designed for manufacturability, assembly and value.


·         Leads tool procurement activities on new products and changes.


·         Leads packaging development activities on new products and changes.


·         Reports on program progress in weekly report.


·         Performs various TS16949 duties.


 


 


EXPERIENCE:


 


Required Education / Training:


 


·         High school diploma or equivalent.


·         Ten or more years experience or bachelor’s degree and three or more years relevant technical experience in the automotive industry.


·         Two or more years automotive supply experience with blue print & CAD interpretation of designs.


·         Able to travel.


 


 


Desired Experience:


 


·         Engineering degree.


·         Two or more years of automotive program management.


·         Knowledge in APQP


·         Capable knowledge in 7-D problem solving, design & process FMEA, DVP&R and other relevant customer directives, as well as, GD&T, blue print & CAD model interpretation.
