Job Description :

Manages the activities of product lines / projects / programs involving department or cross-functional teams. Focuses on delivery within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Monitors the product line / program / project from initiation through delivery.

Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project; reports findings to management.

Recommends business and operational goals; ensures operation meets the goals.

Confers with project staff to outline work plan and responsibilities.

Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

Compiles status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required; prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Must have Primavera experience.

Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Performs other related duties as required.

May indirectly (dotted-line) supervise exempt and/or nonexempt associates. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.

Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules.

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers budgets, schedules and performance requirements.

 

Job Requirements :

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and minimum five years related experience and/or training. Bilingual Chinese a plus

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
