Program Manager

Manages daily operations of credit card processing and operational staff for financial services company.    Implements and improves operational activities by reviewing and recommending new methods and procedures to ensure quality service to customers.   Safeguards confidential client data and ensures department-wide compliance with all applicable regulation, company policies and procedures.  Manages the training, motivation, and discipline of assigned employees.   Provides operational reportingfor management and achievesdesired service level standards for portfolio.

Responsibilities:

                     Management of credit card processing platform activities and vendor relationships

                     Collaborates with product management in the design and implementation of new products and enhancements

                     Oversight of client implementations and boarding

                     Manages chargeback process to ensure proper and timely procedures are followed.

                     Ensures that employees are trained in all phases of their jobs.  Maintains portfolio and individual statistics on operational productivity. 

                     Maintains system access levels across services staff and ensures proper controls and security are in place to sufficiently protect clientele and company

                     Ensures compliance of department security policy and procedures

                     Develop short and long-term goals and plans for the Department.  Provides suggestions and recommendations.

                     Maintains compliance with association rules. Manages fraudulent card activity including coordinating fraud claims. 

                     Implements and maintains ongoing training programs to enhance individual development in service, product knowledge, and technical skills. 

                     Monitor regulatory and policy changes and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with applicable internal and external financial and regulatory requirements.

Summary:

Candidate will have broad skill set and a hands-on attitude to drive the implementation of a start-up program.  The Program Manager will be a critical component of the team, taking a leading role in the platform design, testing andimplementation.  The platform manager will collaborate extensively with the assigned Project Manager, Product Manager and Senior Management.     

Qualifications:

5-10 years of experience in the financial services industry managing operational activities and processing system functions.   Minimum of 3 years hands on processor experience; commercial credit card experience.  Total Systems (TSYS) or First Data fuel industry experience a plus.

 

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred; five or more years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a financial institution.   Personal computer skills required with proficiency in Word, Excel.  Advanced knowledge of the credit card industry and electronic services regulatory compliance and practices.
