Opportunity Available: Program Manager

Company Overview: Global Strategies Group (North America) Inc., Mission Systems Division, a leading provider of technical and engineering services and products as well as advanced scientific research and development services to multiple U.S. Government organizations, has an immediate opening for a Program Manager to support ongoing programs in our Charleston, SC office.

General Responsibilities:

This position provides Program Management services to our current customers at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Atlantic in Charleston, SC.  Responsibilities include: overseeing multiple projects and schedules; interacting with client program managers and customers concerning project coordination; managing budgets with P&L accountability; effectively interfacing with software and hardware engineers concerning project completion; and overall management and growth of those programs/customers assigned.

Responsibilities include:

·          Oversee day-to-day management of programs including overseeing multiple projects and schedules; interacting with program managers and customers concerning project coordination; managing budgets with P&L accountability; effectively interfacing with software and hardware engineers concerning project completion.

·          Exerts a consistent, effective management force to achieve objectives.

·          Assist senior management in identifying and capturing business opportunities within managed customer base.

General Qualifications:

·          Technical knowledge of Shipboard and Shore-based C4I systems.

·          Ability to effectively manage high-tech engineering/IT professionals.

·          Superior writing/speaking skills. 

·          Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Microsoft Project.

·          Working knowledge of Earned Value metrics.

Required Qualifications:         

·          Bachelor’s degree required.

·          Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified preferred.

·          Knowledge of DOD Defense Acquisition Standards.

·          5+ years of program management experience managing programs in the disciplines of systems engineering, development, and integration.
