Position Description:
Manage all activities for Solar Photovoltaic Power System projects. Projects range from 20kW in size to 5MW and include system design, installation and commissioning, and operations and maintenance of completed project.

Position-Related Responsibilities:
· In conjunction with Business Development, Systems Engineering, Site Management, Procurement and Solar PV products suppliers, design the most optimal; Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power System (SPVPS) in response to the customer Request for Proposal (RFQ) or as an unsolicited proposal.
· Develop cost estimates and schedules for SPVPS proposal to RFQ requirements.
· Work with Procurement in the development of general contractor and other subcontractor statements of work and requests for proposals
· Work with Systems Engineering in the development of the SPVPS design and Bill of Materials to meet the proposed systems requirements and schedule
· Assure all SOLON Corporation required licenses, permits, professional Engineering certifications support the proposal to the customer.
· Work with Business Development to bring the proposal to contract.
· Develop Program Master Plans to provide sufficient detail to enable Engineering Design, Procurement, Manufacture, Test, Field Installation and Warranty support of PV Products based on customer requirements.
· Work with Site Manager to assure contracted subcontractors fully understand the project scope and schedule
· Program Master Plan implementation and execution. Develop metrics to track performance and develop recovery plans with the specified Site Manager, if required
· Review Programs with Customers, Executive Management and Team Members on a regular basis to provide customer satisfaction, clarity of operations and visibility of progress and financial status.
· Ensure the proper purchasing, invoicing, product and material tracking are conducted in such a fashion to ensure all budgets are maintained and delivery is on-time.
· Profit and loss responsibility for programs.
· Develop Cost Reduction Programs to increase corporate profits while maintaining customer satisfaction.
· Coordinate program activities between Customers, Site Management, Planning, Purchasing, Programs Finance, Engineering, Vendors/Suppliers and Contract Administration.
· Maintain client relationships.
· Track market forces and identify high probability of ‘win’ market sectors and/or customer types.
· Promote the Company’s power generation systems capabilities and experience.
· Stay knowledgeable of major system equipment and their features/benefits.
· Act as project Site Superintendent, as required.
· Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or General Engineering required
· 5-7 years Project Management experience
· Construction or photovoltaic construction experience desired. Supervisory experience helpful.
· Must be detail oriented, able to multitask and have strong presentation skills. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent negotiation and closing skills.
· Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, & Power Point. Experience with Project related software helpful but not required.
· Experienced with commercial and government contracts. Must have knowledge of scheduling and coordinating on-site installations and subcontractors
· Ability to travel approximately 10%
· German language proficiency desired
