The GTS product line includes multi-purpose military tactical vehicles, such as the U.S. Army's Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), armored fighting vehicles, mine protected vehicles (Caiman and RG31 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP)), light armored vehicles, and police and security vehicles. Provide primary management and coordination of Australia Land 121 FMTV program assignments. Pre-contract activities to include IR&D, proposal development, developing and maintaining a good relationship with BAE Systems Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia ensuring LCM practices are maintained, and budget maintenance for program success.
Develop and maintain plans for execution of assigned projects with emphasis on financial, schedule and performance. Provide support to the project teams in the form of management, coordination, leadership review and approval of project particulars and goals to successfully complete the projects. Manage changes in scope to include schedule and financial impacts. Prime responsibility for the development, maintenance and control of the budget for assigned projects which could range from $50 thousand to $40 million.

* Manage program assignments; plan for and anticipate schedule delays, obstacles, etc. Develop workable deviations to schedules to keep on program on time and work to ensure completion of assignment and within budgetary parameters. Manage project schedule by formulating a timeline for major tasks and maintain schedule status.
* Provide support to the project teams in the form of management, coordination, leadership review and approval of project particulars and goals to successfully complete the projects. Direct TVS employees assigned to projects by providing leadership, direction, positive morale and lead by displaying project acumen.
* Research project monetary requirements, formulate budget and plan for unforeseen cost which may hinder the project. Achieve financial objectives established in annual business plan.
* Enhance product line total knowledge to better grasp and appreciate work and individual employee's responsibilities. Resolves issues that may arise during the course of the assignment.
* Task internal department through matrix management to perform activities to achieve project goals. Must influence the direction and activities through proper communication and leadership. Provide project details (i.e., requirements, goals and status) through positive communication and proper information distribution techniques.
* Monitors progress of assignment and prepares periodic reports for management. Provide monthly management reports on health of programs. Monitors activities to ensure compliance with any government regulations that may apply.
* Work with other departments and purchasing to obtain all required equipment and supplies needed for project completion. Work closely with customers and vendors to promote Company and to obtain the best services possible from the available resources. Negotiate with materials suppliers, vendors and Work through and prepare replies to customer directed changes, including schedule and financial impacts. Notify the customer in writing when expenditures reach the 70% level, and develop a plan for refunding or ceasing efforts.customers as needed to secure advantageous results for the Company.

Bachelor's Degree required with additional 10+ years directly project/program management related experience to include advanced management skills, negotiation skills and budget, proven manager skills and scheduling techniques. Background will include major program management experience, government contracting and automotive manufacturing, testing and inspection knowledge.
The successful candidate must have the ability to clearly convey information verbally and in writing; along with excellent persuasive and negotiating skills. Experience with International Programs a plus.
Incumbent will work directly with upper management and customer(s) and will maintain high ethical and fair standards representing the Company.
