You will be responsible for providing leadership, focus, drive, and decisions to achieve the next technological and manufacturing advances of silicon crystallization in the Solar & Alternative Energy market. This opportunity is located in Washington State.
Position responsibilities include:
Leading your team in and developing technology for the silicon crystallization program
Overall responsibility for this core technology development track, including personnel, facilities and budgets.
Integration of processing steps to melt and solidify various forms of Silicon derived from Silane based technology
Interface with key technology providers, both internally and externally, to lower the overall cost and improve production of silicon based products
Develop new and innovative solutions, anticipate problem issues on projects, support, implement, and monitor new manufacturing practices
Collaborating and drawing from all departments of the company to ensure the highest quality work and products
Education and experiences requirements
Masters or Ph.D related to Engineering, Materials, Chemistry, Physics, etc.
Hands-on Silicon Crystallization work
Experiences directing Silicon Crystallization technologies with emphasis on direct silicon experience (Bridgman, Czochralski, etc.)
10+ years experience in the R&D environment
2 to 5 years leading a team of engineering and technical staff and the ability to manage personnel, facilities and budgets
Hands-on experience supporting the transfer of R&D and process improvement to manufacturing
The ability to work well under stress, excellent reasoning abilities and strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to travel 20 – 40% of the time
