The Technology Solutions Group of QinetiQ North America is recruiting a Program Manager responsible for an innovative surface craft integration effort. Experience with government acquisition programs and leadership of evolving technology development highly desirable.
The PM is responsible for all aspects of organizational management and operations of programs including:
Resource balancing
Performance, Cost and Schedule responsibility
Financial performance
Fiscal year planning
Accountability for meeting goals for revenue
Profit and indirect cost control
Scheduling and cost estimates
Contract management, including understanding different contract types
Risk management
Customer and Corporate interface
Client relations; and new business development
PM identifies and implements appropriate business solutions while supporting company strategies, builds relationships with multiple levels of peers and management and demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills. Directs and coordinates activities concerned with development and performance of objectives of program(s).
Manages projects to assure program performance and schedule compliance.
Serves as primary customer contact to assure communication of project, task, and program status frequently.
Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of those assigned from various departments or areas of organization.
Responsible for program growth, marketing new technology and/or follow-on business acquisition.
Ensures program(s) meet or exceed quality standards and is delivered on time. Leads and directs Program Managers, Project Managers and Projects Teams facilitating communication and interaction with customers. Develops and implements recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
Recommends and leads efforts to improve existing processes to improve quality or on-time completion.
Participates in negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. Experience with Earned Value
Industry-side DoD acquisition experience strongly desired
Government Contract/Sub-contract program manager experience strongly desired
Travel required.
Generally requires at least a Bachelors degree and 10 or more years of related project management experience with increasing responsibilities.
Management (EVMS) and MS Project is highly desirable.
