Description
This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, testing, documenting and maintaining highly complex printing applications in a dual IBM Mainframe/Sun Solaris Unix environment.
You will work in a supportive customer-driven team environment and be assigned applications with various length development and maintenance cycles.
Required Skills
IBM skills needed include JCL, TSO, COBOL, Connect-Direct, Control-M. Unix skills needed are Perl scripting, and extensive skills in the open systems environment. MicroFocus COBOL is a plus. IBM skills needed include JCL, TSO, COBOL, Connect-Direct, Control-M. Experience in either one of the platforms is a plus, while skills on Unix is a requirement.
An additional plus would be any experience in conversion of mainframe applications to open systems. Experience in print industry technologies and print streams is also beneficial such as AFP format files, PDF, Postscript and Metacode. Experience using Exstream Dialogue software a major plus
Required Experience
·A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
·At least two years of programming and systems experience or equivalent.
·Strong problem solving and application design ability.
·Excellent oral and written English skills including documentation skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all internal project team members and external client contacts.
·Proven customer service skills.
·Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
