We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Programmer/Analyst – Entry Level Position in our Frederick, MD office to work directly with our Registration and Housing Implementation team. Our software powers online registration and housing for the largest, most prestigious trade shows and events in the country. 

 

Experient offers recent grads and professionals the opportunity to develop skills across a diverse range of IT areas. This includes development of data-driven web sites, windows applications, database interactions via SQL and web services.  In addition, you will be exposed to the roles of project management and business analysis while growing your interpersonal skills. You will take part in dozens of projects within your first year of employment and gain experience that may take 3 or more years in many companies.

You will also have the opportunity to occasionally travel to some of our events in locations such as Las Vegas, Chicago, and New Orleans.  Our developers implement client specific business requirements using a proprietary application framework.  You will have the opportunity to utilize current technologies such as C#, .Net 4.0, XML, XSLT, and increasingly popular Javascript libraries like jQuery and AJAX.

 

The successful candidate will be proficient with object oriented programming and have a sound understanding of OO design and development concepts. Familiarity with current web conventions, design patterns and the software development life cycle is desired. 

 

Minimum Skills and Qualifications are:

·         Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, or Engineering with emphasis on application development;

·         Working knowledge (0-2 yrs experience) of object oriented application development with Microsoft products;

·         C# experience strongly preferred;

·         Proficiency in data analysis & development with RDBMS, MS SQL(CRUD, stored procedures, views) preferred;

·         Excellent communication & comprehension skills with technical & non technical personnel, both written and verbal;

·         Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently;

·         Must be able to multi-task, manage time constraints, and meet deadlines;

·         Sound troubleshooting skills and techniques are required.

·         Strong attention to detail required. 

 

Physical Requirements

·         Must be able to regularly control, test, operate computer equipment to generate input and output and transmit data.
