ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
In this position, you will play a critical role analyzing, designing, developing and testing reports and data feeds. Additionally, you will provide technical advice on difficult analysis and programming problems requiring advanced techniques.

Responsibilities
1. Create SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and tables to build ETL feeds.
2. Create SSIS packages and SSRS reports that use the above to output text, Excel, and PDF files.
3. Create and modify Access VBA-heavy databases to output Snapshot or PDF files.
4. Perform and review unit tests, code reviews, and deployments.
5. Perform analysis of software or programming languages for suitability to needs and propose standards and best practices in all technical areas.
6. Perform requirements gathering, requirements analysis and risk assessment.
7. Create design documentation for all development work.
8. Perform system analysis in order to determine most effective design strategy.
9. Troubleshoot issues that arise during the lifecycle of a project and escalate as appropriate.
10. Actively participate in process improvement discussions.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science/software engineering, or equivalent work experience
· 5+ years of Microsoft programming experience to include T-SQL and Access VBA.
· Previous experience in the insurance or healthcare industry a plus
· Strong communication skills with the ability to convey clearly ideas to all internal customers
· Demonstrate leadership skills in the Data Services area and function as a project lead over other developers
· Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills within internal groups for process improvement.
· Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills at the manager and developer level and can work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment
