Description of Duties:  

• Work with Business Analysts as needed while designing, coding or testing programs and implementing applications 
• Develop  programs and interfaces using the following languages or tools XML,  C#, Visual Studio / SharePoint, SQL 2008, ASP.Net. COBOL background would be beneficial, but not required.
• Utilize commonly accepted best practices to unit and system testing of developed code.
• Analyze the best architectural solution for a program application and associated interfaces and define the best way to implement, following established standards
• Responsible to coordinate change control procedures for
    the movement of software code and data migrations
• Maintain detailed program change documentation as assigned
• Works closely with the Network Operations staff to assure adequate database sizing of application development environments needed for capacity planning and appropriate data growth
• Provide technical support for batch cycle processing.

Education and Experience:  

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years COBOL/AS400 programming experience
•  Minimum 2years Visual Studio and .Net programming experience

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

• Sharepoint development experience
• SQL 2005/ SQL 2008 experience
•   XML experience preferred
• Other “C” language programming experience
•  Data warehouse development experience
• Property & Casualty insurance background
