JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Programmer-Analyst Dept: IT/IS
Reports to: IT Program Manager Loc: Salt Lake City
Essential Functions:
- Application development, as a programmer analyst, for applications and support processes that integrate to other in-house and third party applications and design custom configurations
- Analyze, gather customer requirements for the business needs and/or business processes
- Project management responsibilities and on occasion lead small team projects through project life cycle
- Work with users, analyze, and design database and application system solutions to solve business needs
- Develop test plans and maintain operational applications
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (KSA’s):
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate with clients and individuals at all technical levels is required
- Relational database design and construction, including SQL/transact SQL and stored procedures
- Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced demanding work environment, working both individually and as part of a participatory team process
- Structured, disciplined approach to work, with good attention to detail
- Capable of leading small project teams - (a plus, not required)
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- The ability to multi-task on various projects and support items
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree Required
- 3-5 years experience in a small team environment preferred
- Experience programming in VB.Net, ASP.Net, C#.Net, SQL Server, T-SQL, Visual Studio 2005 or 2008
- E-commerce experience preferred
- ASP.net Model-View-Controller experience preferred
- Experience with software development lifecycle
Physical Requirements;
While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
