Technical resource on analysis and programming for development projects within the E-Business Group. Develop and maintain e-business applications and software tools using Visual Basic .NET, Microsoft BizTalk, ASP or ASP.NET, SQL, X-12/XML, C#, Java, or other programming tools as required. Assist business users with selection and or review of assigned products or tools. Fulfill front and back end program development needs for all customers supported by the department. Organize and manage e-business and interface programming initiatives. Consistently support efforts to maintain system integrity and company compliance with Healthcare regulations (i.e. HIPAA requirements, DMA policies). Comply with all Network Health system and development, documentation, and testing standards.
Requirements
- Provide senior level technical programming functions for the development, implementation, and maintenance of all applications supported by the E-Business group.
- Troubleshoot E-Business application problems, identify interdependencies, and help to implement solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise for program development projects assigned by management.
- Facilitate and coordinate the work of junior programmer/analysts on assigned projects.
- Serve as lead technical analyst for application interfaces created in-house.
- Collaborates and participates as needed on any technical HIPAA compliance projects.
- Maintain database integrity and security using quality control mechanisms and system tools.
- Helps to ensure the highest level of functionality for all database environments.
- Serves as an additional technical support resource for the companys main managed care database application.
- Participates in technical Disaster Recovery planning efforts.
- Participates in IT on-call services as needed.
Additional duties
- 1. Represent Network Health at applicable activities including system user groups and other health data system organizations.
- Maintain professional growth and development through self-directed learning activities and involvement in professional organizations.

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or 3 to 5 years equivalent experience.
- 5 to 8 years applicable work experience required, preferably in a healthcare IT environment. Proficient in Visual Basic .NET with solid object oriented skills, with a focus on e-business file routing, translation, and response. Must have experience with X12/XML transactions (preferably healthcare-related), and SQL stored procedures. Biztalk mapping and configuration experience or equivalent translation language skills is a must. Strong analytical and problem solving skills also needed. Experience with application design, development, and implementation. NEHEN or similar regional EDI network experience is a plus. HL7 standard familiarity or clinical data mapping experiences is required.
