The Position:
Boston.com / The Boston Globe is looking for a great Programmer/Developer to join our newsroom team for one of the 10 most popular newspaper websites in the country.
We are looking for a creative, self-motivated individual with a passion for news, an understanding of the inner workings of the web, and an ambition to produce work seen by more than 5 million unique visitors a month.
Specifically, we're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
You will work closely with reporters and editors throughout the organization, helping them research and present their work -- either through mining existing data on the web, taking in feeds, or working with reporters to imagine new and better ways to present information and tell stories online. You also will work closely with the rest of the Boston Globe/Boston.com technical team as they write code and manage application services across the site.
