Programmer/ Electrical Engineer needed for Orlando, FL!


 


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Perform engineering design and development work and related activities involved with electrical circuits and computer programs used in laser power supplies including digital, analog and RF electronics. Develop software controls for lasers using C programs.


 


DUTIES:


1.     Develop, design, model, and test C programs for controlling the laser.


2.     Develop, design, model, test, and investigate both new and existing electrical circuits.


3.     Resolve engineering issues, provide technical guidance, and ensure sound engineering and safe design.


4.     Produce technical analysis, reports, and documentation on design, manufacture, test, and operation of the product.


5.     Create documentation for purchase and manufacture of electrical products and components.


 


JOB SKILLS / EDUCATION REQUIRED:


1.     Proven experience writing C programs for machine controls. Experience with IP addressing, RS-232 routines, mod-bus, HTML, etc.


2.     Verbal and written communications skills, particularly in the technical field, and ability to work well with technical staff, management, and production workers.


3.     Ability to work alone with little assistance or supervision.


4.     Sound knowledge and utilization of safety practices required for working with high voltages and lasers.


5.     Ability to work with confidential information and maintain highest standards of ethics and security.


6.     Technical, conceptual, and problem solving skills.


7.     Computer skills and ability to use various software applications in performance of job duties.


 


JOB SKILLS / EDUCATION DESIRED:


1.     Hands-on experience with TTL logic, digital and analog real-time circuits, and processor-based controls.


2.     Hands-on experience with various test equipment and tools used in manufacturing and testing electrical products.


3.     Engineering degree in electrical discipline.


 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


This position requires extended periods sitting or standing at a workbench operating electrical test equipment. There are also extended periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer monitor.


Good manual dexterity and eyesight is required for assembling and testing electrical devices.


This position requires moving around the building to gather materials, equipment, and information. Frequent light lifting and stooping is required to assemble and operate the electrical products and configure the test equipment.



Pay - $26.00-28.00/hr

Contract to hire opportunity

Only local candidates will be considered as no relocation or per diem is available. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Salary based on experience.
