Responsible for technical design, implementation and maintenance of database and analytic software for the Thomson Reuters systems and products.

The Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters provides intelligent information to better manager the cost and quality of healthcare and accelerate scientific research and innovation.
Responsible for technical design, implementation and maintenance of database and analytic software for the Thomson Reuters systems and products.
- Perform technical analysis including development of prototypes and preparing technical specifications.
- Design, develop, test, document, and maintain code
- Estimate and plan development work, track and report on task progress, and deliver work on schedule.
- Work within a structured development environment that includes version control, automated unit testing, automated builds, design reviews and code reviews.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Capable of identifying issues and driving them to resolution.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to estimate and track project/task timelines.
- Ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Two years of Oracle experience.
- Two years experience with SQL.
- Two years experience with Unix and Linux.
- Experienced with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience developing for IBM's WebSphere Data Stage TX translator, version 8.0
- Experience with source code repositories such as CVS
- Experience with PL/SQL
- Experience with UC4 / AppWorx job scheduler. (nice to have)
- Experience working with System Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with Agile development
