Summary of Role:
Interbrand is looking for an ASP.net programmer to maintain and write new code for public facing websites and private intranets. The right candidate will be able to create new websites from start to finish, conduct testing, integration as necessary, and ongoing maintenance. Ability to work with classic ASP and VB Scripts a must. Role will include migrating existing sites to updated code, best practice coding standards, and proper development environment. In this role you will consult with technical partners and communications manager to ensure appropriate standards of code, system environment and security.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Write, update, and maintain existing websites and databases.
- Consult with communications manager and others to ensure appropriate standards of code, system environment and security.
- Consistent and skilled use of standards and methodology to code, test, modify, debug, document, implement and maintain systems.
- Using computers and computer software systems to program, enter data, integrate systems, upgrade existing code, maintain legacy code (classic ASP.net and VB script) and write new code.
- Maintain and upgrade search engine optimization of public facing sites with metatags, keywords, registration, etc.
Qualifications:
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related course of study from a major college
- Microsoft Certification a plus
- Ability to identify problems and review information to assist with problem solving
- Troubleshooting to determine causes of errors
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- At least three years experience in Classic ASP and ASP.net and Microsoft SQL Server to build database driven web sites
- Search engine optimization skills
