An International Freight Forwarding Company is seeking a Programmer/ Application Developer who has Oracle, Microsoft Web Application experience and knowledge of EDI system (preferably Transportation Management System) for their MIS department

Title: Application Developer or Programmer

Location: Torrance, CA

Direct Hire or Temp to Hire

Salary: $55K-$65K (DOE)

Monday to Friday

Job Description:

Transportation Management System (TMS) Application support – Oracle base (50%)

·         Maintain, support newly installed Application System and EDI related with the application for Transportation Management.

·         Install, implement, configure Oracle’s TMS Product  

·         Provide solutions for the technical aspect of the Oracle’s TMS Product

Oracle/ Web Application developer (50%)

·         Customizing Oracle application

·         Application development in Oracle and Web environment

·         Maintenance and support in Oracle Database/ Windows environment for in-house system and Web Applications.

·         Reports for the application

·         Web application development (Microsoft, .NET)

·         Developing Reporting system based on Oracle application data and based on Oracle Database.

·         Develop Requesting system using Oracle developer

·         Analysis for new implementation as analyst.

·         Application setup as functional.

·         Network solutions and front end user support

Job Requirement:

·         2-5 years of experience in the relate field

·         Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)

·         Understand Oracle’s TMS Product architecture is a big plus

·         Know how to install, implement, configure Oracle’s TMS Product  is a big plus

·         Able to perform performance audits and provide suggestions to improve the performance

·         Write custom reports using Oracle reports

·         Troubleshoot and resolve reports issues

·         Oracle Form/Report, PL/SQL and other Oracle knowledge, skill and experience.

·         Microsoft Web Application (.NET) development knowledge, skill and experience

·         Microsoft SQL Server, Crystal Report and other MS tools.

·         Flexibility in learning and supporting new systems if necessary.

·         Good sense as a team member and a good communicator.

·         Able to work overtime as needed.

·         Able to travel domestically (1-2 times a month)
