Progress Developer

A Progress Programmer Analyst works on a project-by-project basis with various representatives from marketing, sales, secondary marketing, client relations, and legal compliance to act as a technical lead and implement business logic for sales force facing web sites. The software created by the Software Engineer will integrate with other software created by Business Services Developers and Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with other engineers, developers, Progress DBA's, architects, QA, system engineers and product managers in solving new and existing technical issues
• Understand requirements, implement designs, provide administration tools and documentation for specific projects
• Perform regular on-call duties
• Perform unit testing on own work and the work of others
• Participate in Design and Code Reviews
• Follow and enhance existing development processes
• Measure and verify that new and old code has acceptable performance and scalability
• Maintain ownership of the projects assigned
• Consistently meet project deadlines
• Interface with business leaders in the early development of specifications and requirements

Position Requirements:

• Two to four years of application development experience in Progress 4GL
• Five plus years of experience in general software development methodologies
• Four plus years of collaborative development experience
• Strong experience in all aspects of the software lifecycle
• Related experience in software testing and design desired
• Team-oriented experience highly desired
• Superb attention to detail
• Good oral and written communication skills regardless of audience
• Willing to work with the Quicken Loans programming standards
• Dynamic temp tables and pro data sets is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in software development/related field or equivalent work experience
• Established work portfolio
