McCorkle Construction Company is a client driven general contractor of commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings, including Design-build projects. The company is based in Orlando, Florida.
Job Description:
This is a 10-12 week temporary project accountant position. The position is responsible for job related accounting and administrative tasks including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, NTOs/lien waivers, purchase orders, cost code maintenance and certificates of insurance.
Responsibilities:
· Receive, review and process incoming subcontract draws, invoices and employee expense reports.
· Collect and file all lien releases/waivers, and keep updated release log.
· File all invoices, back-up payment copies, releases, satisfaction of lien and correspondence
· Setup and maintain job cost code and cost types.
· Reconcile subcontractor/vendor accounts as needed.
· Process incoming payments.
· Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
· Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities, and ensuring deadlines are met.
· Minimum of three years accounting experience in the construction industry.
· Ability to interact with company owner.
· Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree strongly preferred.
· Spectrum (Forefront) experience a plus.
· Good general computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word.
Working Conditions:
Non-smoking office environment, using a computer and other office equipment daily.
