Position is responsible for leading the B&W Y-12 Project Estimating Organization. Duties include evaluating project execution plans, approving all major estimates, and leading management reviews. Ensures use of the latest tools and techniques by expert estimating professionals, comparative analysis to industry standards, and estimate reconciliation. Provides guidance in developing parametric as well as definitive estimate methods and techniques. Requires a B.S. in Engineering or other technical related field with 10 years of relevant experience or the equivalent of 15 years expert-level estimating knowledge and experience, with a significant portion of that time spent providing engineering and construction services with a heavy commercial estimating background. Must demonstrate expert understanding of estimating core process and procedures. Knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost engineering project activities, along with technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement, and construction functions. Must be a change agent and a critical thinker with demonstrated skills in management, supervisory, and administrative functions, including the ability to set expectations for cohesiveness, collaboration, and team work.
