Project Coordinator - DC Office

About the Job

This position performs a wide variety of highly technical and administrative duties in support of FVTC's DC Office and the various grants and projects coordinated through that operation. This position is responsible for supporting various training and technical assistance services, including federal, state, local and tribal districts located throughout the country. The responsibilities will include providing a wide array of technology related services especially those relating to the design and development of a web-based training and technical assistance center.. This position requires experience in and strong technology capabilities relating to the development, design, evaluation, and management of a web-based federally funded national training and technical assistance center (NTTAC).  

 

Essential Job Functions:

1.      Manages the technology based services and activities associated with the DC office and various projects it undertakes on behalf of grantors who award funds to FVTC.
2. Coordinates technology related activities with FVTC staff, private vendors and the grant making authorities responsible for those activities.
3. Develops, maintains and updates the technology platforms and programs necessary to deliver web based services to the agencies and individuals targeted through the various grants awarded to FVTC and the DC Office
4. Provides leadership for the development of marketing strategies to effectively communicate project training programs, technical assistance efforts, policies, and procedures.
5. Establishes goals and parameters for developing and maintaining an innovative, creative, interactive web-based national training and technical assistance center in compliance with policies and procedures established by FVTC and the Federal government.
6. Develops and maintains budgets, training records and federal compliance reports as required.
7. Collaborates with FVTC staff and Strategic Planning Committees to integrate and coordinate technology innovations into all program areas and work products, especially those relating to the FVTC Sharepoint collaboration portal and the NTTAC.
8. Directs the development of process-improvement strategies for the Center, to include technology, communication, and organizational operations.
9. Develops training and education programs relating to technology-based enhancements and services relating to project goals.
10. Interviews, hires, observes, and evaluates the performance of consultant contractors, as well as support and management staff for the Center.
11. Facilitates the development and review of curriculum for Center conferences, training programs, meetings, and other events.
12. Recommends and communicates policies and procedures relative to staff training, funding/reimbursement procedures, and record keeping.
13. Performs other related duties as necessary for the effective administration of the Center as well as the best interest of the training partners, collaborating agencies, and FVTC.

 

Qualifications, Training, and Experience:

1. Bachelors Degree (Master's preferred) in a related field PLUS
2. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with faculty, staff, and representatives of outside agencies PLUS
3. Demonstrated success record in team-based operations and management PLUS
4. Minimum five years related, relevant occupational experience or supervisory experience, OR
5. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which a comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired, specifically those relating to web development and management and technology-based education and training.
6. Knowledge of and experience with website design, distance learning technology including Blackboard, Breeze and Captivate and Sharepoint is recommended, as well as the effective use and application of technologies to reach diverse audience groups.
7. Experience with grants management and program operations is preferred.
8. Curriculum design experience is preferred, with emphasis on competency-based instruction using a variety of learning options and alternative forms of delivery.
