Description | Responsible for customizing the global product group strategy for the US and prioritization of markets. They will need to develop client relationships, identify new service offerings, develop road map for key technologies, and direct projects. Duties include:
Confers with management, business development, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing services
Support other product groups with Control and Electronic needs
Develops propositions, creates proposals and deals directly with customers to win business and ensure that project delivery is successful; acts as a liaison with clients and responsible for maintaining senior level relationships with customers
Directs projects within the scope of client-defined project specifications; plans engineering programs and organizes project staff according to project requirements
Responsibility for full project management (technical, quality, financial and timescale performance of the project)
Acts as a decision maker where significant changes in direction or corrective action are required.
Responsible for order intake, margins, and cost control. Ensures that projects meet their cost, timing and quality objectives. Develops budgets, manages all costs, including human resources and capital expenditures. Ensures optimal use of resources.
Develops and sells the Company’s research and development and direction of future work and selection of projects. Analyzes technology trends and market demand to plan projects and research funding
Gives guidance on complex technical problems or major issues involving policy, objectives or finance. Develops new, creative approaches to existing methods, applying existing criteria in new ways and drawing conclusions from comparative situations.

Position Requirements | Sales experience, preferably as an engineering consultant; proven track record of selling business through to delivery of project
Electronics and Controls capability background
System engineering
Strong strategic solution provider
Experience managing people as well as programs involving multiple disciplines and departments
Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop and attract high performance, technical talent
Demonstrated business acumen and commercial knowledge. Solid knowledge of industry-standard legal and business language, including familiarity with contracts, NDAs, IP, payment terms, proposals, pricing, margins, etc.
Strong presence and impact; results-driven; highly motivated to sell and deliver.
Strong leadership skills, ability to drive a vision of the future and convert into profit
