
HNTB has an immediate need for a Project Civil Design Engineer (8-12 years) to join our Seattle (Bellevue, WA) Office Aviation Engineering Group. HNTB’s Bellevue Office has one of the most dynamic and growing aviation engineering practices in the firm, and nationwide. Our projects include work at some of the most visible airports in the country, as well as at airports slated for growth in the next few years. Airports throughout the Northwest and the nation turn to HNTB’s Bellevue office aviation staff for expert advice and excellent design services. We are looking for a project engineer with experience in airfield design that would like to expand their experience and work on challenging projects across the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation of civil engineering principles, strong communication skills (verbal and written), and a strong understanding of civil aviation design, construction documents, and construction processes. The candidate should be able to organize, schedule, and prioritize assignments and tasks that may be assigned. Duties will cover a wide variety of civil engineering tasks supporting airfield, landside and terminal airport projects as well as coordination with other disciplines. Candidate is fully competent in coordination of project execution and control, in civil aviation engineering, to achieve continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through final design. Also accountable for handling specific design aspects on projects appropriate to his/her discipline field. Coordinate efforts of assigned design team to ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort. Serve as technical liaison with client on project efforts.
