Responsibilities to Include:
• Motion control and logic experience relating to off-road electric vehicles. Analog and digital input and outputs device experience.
• Provide engineering expertise for development of hybrid powered vehicles.
• Development and utilization of project timelines for engineering tasks.
• Development and utilization of functional specifications for projects.
• Development and utilization of DFMEAs for components and assemblies.
• Investigation and review of design patent opportunities and infringements; file patent disclosures.
• Development of design packaging layouts.
• Perform tolerance studies on components and assemblies.
• Development and release of engineering component and assembly drawings.
• Incorporation of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) on engineering drawings.
• Development of DVPRs for product validation.
• Resolve test issues and document through the use of the PDCA process.
• Performing design for assembly (DFA) and design for manufacturing (DFM) assessments on components & assemblies.
• Compliance certification to government standards (CE certification, CARB compliance, etc…).
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) on components & assemblies.
• Utilization of Textron NP&SI process on “A & B” class projects.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited 4-year program.
Position Requirements:
• 5 years minimum experience as a project engineer in an on or off road vehicle or similar application.
Key Skills Desired:
• Vehicle software logic and operating specification experience.
• Software Validation experience including Negative and Positive test cases.
• Databus CAN 2.0b protocol communication experience.
• Motion control experience in off-road Electric vehicles, experience with Analog and digital input and outputs devices, gauges and instrumentation.
