Reporting to the Engineering Technology Manager for a personal care and food products manufacturer with over 400 brands in 100 countries. The Project Engineer is responsible for acting as lead technical expert who manages equipment rearrangements, procurement of capital funding, equipment specification, purchase and installation. Works hand in hand with manufacturing, product engineers and corporate departments. Plans, leads and delivers all plant capital projects due to expansion, capacity increases, equipment upgrades, improvements or continuous improvement. Supports innovation, develops master plan and evaluates equipment selection, level of automation or make or buy decisions. Manages projects, purchase orders, tracking systems and CAPEX spending.
Background Required:
• CPG or Food Manufacturing FDA regulated (5 years)
• Equipment installation project management (rearrangements, process improvement, CAPEX)
• Lean Manufacturing and/or TPM
• Analytical and innovative designer
• P.O., requisition, CAPEX, procurement tracking software (ex., Ariba, SAP, Oracle)
• Program/Project Management software
• Computer Aided Design (ex., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Computer literate: Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems
• Travel: 10%
• BS Engineering
• Location: Cape Girardeau, MO (relocation assistance)
