Project Engineer

Clarion Industries, a high quality fiberboard (MDF and HDF) and laminate flooring manufacturer, is seeking a Project Engineer for our Clarion Boards facility located at our Shippenville, PA multi-plant site and corporate headquarters. At Clarion Industires, we proudly manufacture 100% "MADE IN THE USA" products which are made from locally sourced materials. Our company employs 170 + highly skilled and valued employees. We are located Northeast of Pittsburgh, PA, Southeast of Erie, PA and due East of Youngstown, OH.

Our site is growing and this newly created Project Engineer position will be an integral part of the management team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and construction or modification/upgrades of manufacturing processes, equipment and building facilities for the optimization of production systems.
• Perform project modeling, prepare contractor bid specifications, identify best supplier based on analysis, calculate cost estimates and determine project schedules.
• Prepare justification of proposed capital projects and present to management.
• Manage capital projects to completion while interfacing with all levels and functions within the organization.

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years experience in an automated manufacturing facility, wood industry experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels and functions within the organization.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills required.
• Six Sigma green or black belt a plus.
