Since 1972, Artromick has provided innovative medication handling systems to hospitals and long-term care facilities. The design of our medication carts, furniture, medication administration systems and mobile computer carts share the common goal of improving nurse efficiency, ensuring medication compliance and eliminating medication waste.

 

Located in Columbus, Ohio, Artromick offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the role of Project Engineer.  This position is a member of the Product Development and Engineering team and reports to Artromick’s Engineering Manager.

 

We are seeking a highly skilled, results-driven process and engineering professional with extensive experience in quality control, supplier management and new product development. Desired skills include a proven ability to validate products, identify root cause, reduce cost, eliminate defects and scrap and facilitate business growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Execution and coordination of testing and manufacturing methods to verify Artromick’s product performance
  • Process improvement initiatives to eliminate defects and waste
  • Regulatory guidance as it pertains to our product requirements
  • Development and maintenance of engineering database use for ECN’s, sample approvals, and product improvements
  • Supplier identification and selection
  • Materials and process sourcing
  • Development of assembly methods for new and existing products
  • Documentation of assembly methods for new products, as well as documentation and improvement of assembly methods for existing products
  • Development and procurement of assembly fixtures
  • Generate efficiencies through ongoing design improvement of existing product line
  • Drawing review and approval for production release
  • First article review and approval of components for manufacturing approval 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Medical or medically-related product development
  • Pro Engineer solid modeling or other 3D solid modeling capabilities
  • MS Access
  • PLC Programming and custom test design and setup
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems independently
  • Ability to manage a workload of multiple projects and tasks and enjoy participating in a fast-paced team environment
