Responsibilities:

·         Support project manager in project development efforts.

·         Interact with R&D and outside engineering company in development of preliminary and basic engineering.

·         Approve drawings and specification on owner’s behalf.

·         Support equipment selection process and search for used equipment.

·         Supervise engineering work conducted by outside engineering firm.

·         Support R&D in process engineering work.

·         Build complete data book of process and project including PFDs and P&IDs.

Education:                  

            ·         Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.

·         Master’s a plus but not required.

Skills & Qualifications:            

·         5-10 years capital project engineering experience in the Biotechnology industry.

·         Vendor management experience.

·         Equipment design/selection experience.

·         Willingness to travel up to 50%, domestically and internationally.

·         Willingness to work long hours.

·         Experience in fermentation and organic separation is a plus.
