Our client, a large Food/Beverage Manufacturing Company located in the Midwest area of the country is currently looking for a Project Manager/Engineer.  The ideal Project Engineer will have a Bachelor’s Degreed in any engineering field and have a Food Manufacturing background.  Relocation is available from anywhere in the country.  Apply now as this is an immediate need!

Minimum of 8+ years of Project Engineering Management experience in a Food Manufacturing environment.

-  Infrastructure construction/renovation.

-  Ensure vendors/subcontractors are manufacturing/engineering products according to product specifications.

-  Provide strong leadership and technical expertise to maintain existing procedures and drive continuous improvement.

Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams within Project Management.

This position is responsible for executing capital projects in the facility, including scope development, cost estimation, system design, equipment sizing and selection, procurement, installation, check-out, and start-up.

-  Coordinates additional construction activity on plant site and obtains and evaluates bids from outside contractors on project implementation and equipment procurement. Monitors costs of projects and provides construction management of same. 

-  Prepares estimates and Return of Investment (ROI) for plant projects and modifications. Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety by ensuring that all projects comply with OSHA, EPA, and other federal and local regulatory agencies and to ensure project designs comply with appropriate construction standards

Qualifications:

-  BS Degree in Engineering

-  Minimum of 8+ years experience as Project Engineering Management in a food manufacturing environment

-  Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the customer/client relationship involved in project engineering/management.

-  Demonstrated technical aptitude, ability to apply engineering principles, and ability to troubleshoot.

-  Understanding of statistics, data analysis techniques, simulation, and other industrial engineering principles strongly preferred.

-  Proficient in the use of common software packages including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD for the preparation of presentation and working documents.  Experience with Arena software a plus.

-  Strong computer, analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
