Description:
Eaton Aerospace in Ft Worth, TX has an opening for a Project Leader - Engineering Software Design responsible for leading the software development team for legacy and new product software development to RTCA/DO-178B level A and B standards. Design responsibilities include: perform requirement analysis, software architecture design and optimization, data structure design, software partitioning for software criticality management, interface circuit requirement definition, high and low level software requirement development, control algorithm development, serial communication protocol development, programming in C and assembly language, hardware/software integration, memory usage analysis, stack usage analysis, timing analysis, throughput analysis, and other.
Software process responsibilities include: create, improve, and implement software development processes for certification documents, software/hardware functional partition, requirement definition, detail design, coding, system level test case development, module level test case development, structural coverage analysis, formal verification, and timing analysis. Generate project task lists, schedules, and estimates.
Team leadership responsibilities include: leading a software design team through all aspects of design from planning through certification.
Strong organization, communication, presentation, and technical writing skills necessary.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a BSEE or BSCE with a minimum of 10 years experience in the following areas:
oLeading a software design team from planning through level A or level B certification.
oEmbedded control software design and verification,
oANSI C or MISRA C programming language,
oScripting language, minimum of one: gel, perl, or python,
oDeveloping software per an engineering development process for RTCA/DO-178B level A or B, for Software Engineering Institute CMMI level 3, or equivalent,
oCreating planning, design, verification, and analysis documentation per engineering process requirements, DO-178B experience preferred.
oPlanning, estimating, and tracking software project development phases,
oSoftware tools, minimum of three: DOORS, ClearCase, Rational Test Real Time, PC Lint, TI Code Composer, Understand for C.
Candidate must be US citizen or permanent resident.
