The PMO Lead will lead program business office management functions and operations in support of the program. The PMO Lead will execute this role, leveraging extensive knowledge of Business Controls Management methods and Business Management functions (such as Contracts, Finance, and Procurement). Key responsibilities include contract / program financial performance analysis and reporting; cost analysis and reporting; actual vs. plan variance analysis, reporting, and baselining; capital expenditure management; IBM and subcontract labor reporting; and preparation for program management reviews.

Consultants hired into GBS Public Sector will typically be located in an IBM office or at an IBM client site primarily in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. In many cases, relocation to the Washington, DC area is required & is not reimbursable. However, we do have opportunities that require residence in other strategic locations in the USA . While most projects are in the DC metro area, Consultants must be able to travel to projects that are in the DC Metro area and to those projects located outside the local area. Some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally < 1 year.

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 3 years experience in Managing / leading Business Management functions in a large (federal) program environment Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • At least 3 years experience in Strong business controls knowledge / experience
  • At least 3 years experience in Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • At least 3 years experience in Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Readiness to travel Up to 2 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • English: Fluent


Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management
  • Certified in Project Management (PMP)
