Our client is a financially sound, publicly traded diversified energy company based in Houston with operations in multiple states. Continued growth and commitment to continuous improvement has created a new role reporting to the Sr. VP of Engineering. Will be responsible for enhancing functionality between engineering teams and project controls by establishing, training and championing Best Practices, Procedures, Tools, Metrics and Project Execution Planning. The selected candidate will be compensated with a highly competitive salary, annual bonus and excellent benefits plan. Eligible for relocation package from another city to Houston.

Responsibilities

·         Establish the groundwork for results by uniting Engineering and Project Controls team functions using disciplined process improvement methodologies, toward the successful completion of small and large complex projects:

o    Provide processes, procedures and tools for managing projects, monitoring progress, mitigating identified risks, etc.

o    Conduct project process training

o    Establish various methods for continual learning

o    Integrate schedules and budgets

o    Conduct assessments and analyses prior to project execution

·         Provide guidance and/or troubleshoot each phase of a process as necessary – project initiation, defining objectives, planning, execution, control, analysis, metrics

·         Prepare and deliver presentations to executives

Candidate Profile

·         BS Engineering, MBA preferred

·         PMP certification

·         10+ years experience managing small and large, complex projects

·         P.E. license highly desirable

·         Strong knowledge of engineering design standards

·         Strong knowledge of natural gas industry codes and regulations preferably acquired through natural gas pipeline project management
