Our client, a major international bank with offices in Jersey City is seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager VP to join their Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of banking operations processes and process improvement methodologies. Strong project management, knowledge of technical systems and the ability to communicate with IT and end users is essential.
This individual must have experience implementing funds transfer and reconciliation systems from vendors such as Fundtech / Logica and Sungard.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead projects by supporting the loan operations, trade finance and capital markets operations department
- Execute the implementation of the money transfers / investigations and reconciliation system project
- Scope projects by gathering users requirements and documenting project status and progress
- Coordinate with the internal and external technology groups to ensure deliverables
- Examine workflows and analyze the recognize system inefficiencies to reduce risk and costs
- Lead user acceptance testing
- Track projects and execute user training
Job Requirements:
- 8 + years of business analysis / project management experience at a financial institutions preferably a large commercial / investment bank
- Superior knowledge of commercial / investment banking operations processes such as money transfers, settlements and investigations.
- Technically savvy
- Must have experience implementing Fundtech (Global Payment Plus), Logica (BESS Payment) or Sungard (Intellisuite) systems
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Ability to meet rigid deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree required
