POSITION / RESPONSIBILITIES

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Responsible for renewable wind and biomass energy projects from the development phase through final completion for the delivery of high quality energy facilities in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. The successful candidate will possess significant collaborative and leadership skills as a proven achiever with a high level of demonstrated written and verbal abilities communicated across a broad spectrum of project participants including but not limited to senior team members, regulators, vendors, consultants, contractors, designers, clients and public interests. Extensive experience with project controls, project reporting, scheduling, estimating, budgeting and cost control, performance monitoring, contract negotiation and managing ahead of the critical path with disciplined organizational skill is essential.

Additional Description Detail

• Manages installation of multiple wind projects.
• Key participation in execution of supply agreements and balance of plant (BOP) construction contracts, and provides general support of ongoing development activities and resource management.
• Ensures due diligence is provided in all aspects of project development and execution.
• Reviews construction documents for constructability, completeness and compliance with applicable agreements, permits, codes and good industry practice.
• Coordinates technical interface with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitors construction progress and approves progress payments. Evaluates change order requests and makes recommendations regarding revisions to project cost and schedule.
• Provides project interface with interconnect utility. Ensures documents and drawings required by interconnect agreements are provided in a timely manner.
• Ensures timely approval of design documents and resolves technical issues relating to project design and construction.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years experience managing multiple projects valued above $30 Million USD, MEP project management experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• High level of computer proficiency with office and industry specific software applications including project management and scheduling tools. A high level of proficiency with spreadsheets is required. Primavera software experience desired.
• Demonstrated ability to manage in a dynamic environment with measured leadership.
• Collaborative team member with ability to seek and execute prompt solutions. 
• Ability to successfully manage a broad and diverse scope of responsibilities.
